The unrealistic character contradictions are what brought a potential 4-star episode down to 3 stars.
Positives: -The final scene -- great use of juxtaposition with the boxes as Taylor was making her speech. -The suspense definitely built up as the episode wore on. -Cole & Jack teaming up...YES! -The dialogue tonight was EXTREMELY good. Much-improved over last week (besides the conversation about torture. They seem to feel the need to spell everything out for us. It's like they think the viewership of this show consists of teenagers with no knowledge of the world's political issues and affairs).

-The last scene between Ethan and Logan -- great stuff. I'm really liking Ethan this season. It's weird the way they're tackling the torture issue. Ethan and Taylor, portrayed as great people, are aghast at the thought of torture, while the slimy Charles Logan and his dubious security firm people are all for it... And then we see that they're going to torture Dana by............. water-boarding her, thus implying that water-boarding = torture. I'm not saying I disagree with this (by definition of torture, it definitely is IMO). My point is that it's just funny how this show has taken a complete 180 degree turn politically.

And I don't get it... Jack said he "knows how Chloe works"... so he knew that she would betray him. Umm, no. Totally out of character.

Ok episode. I think the season has just lost something for me. I have to agree it's kind of interesting how they are tackling the torture issue.
