DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED. www.denofgeek.com/television/467055/24_season_8_episode_18_review.htmlI came across this article already recapping tonight's episode. I wish I didn't read it, but you know what it's like... Once I started, I couldn't stop. I HATE the ending. Chloe would NEVER do that. Besides the Logan stuff, I'm not sure I'm going to like this episode.

I was right; didn't care for it at all. This might be one of those episodes that I enjoy much more watching for a second time. So many moments that I was anticipating (scenes with Logan, Chloe meeting President Taylor, etc.) turned out to be thoroughly underwhelming and anticlimactic. It was extremely predictable, there were a million obvious plot devices, and the dialogue sucked (besides the Jack-Taylor conversation, which was the best scene of the show IMO).

Okay! It was predicable as well and not much action but I still loved the episode. It was great. I admit not one of the best this season but still awesome. I agree best part was when President Taylor and Jack spoke at CTU.

I agree best part was when President Taylor and Jack spoke at CTU. I hope the final 6 hours don't suffer from the absence of Renee and Hassan. I was looking forward to watching Jack go rogue, but now I'm not crazy about the direction it's heading. I also didn't like how they rehashed a lot of the music from earlier in the season.

-It seemed way too easy for Jack to take control of the chopper. A much improved scenario, at least in my opinion, would have been for Chloe to secretly slip Jack a gun to get away, and covertly assist him, maybe enlisting Arlo's help along the way.
-The acting between Kiefer, Jones, and Itzin was PERFECTION. Also just re-watched the scene between Taylor, Logan, and Ethan; Some quality stuff there.
-President Taylor's decision is kind of intriguing because it shows how good leaders do questionable things. She definitely has a legit reason to choose peace over doing what is essentially the right thing by going after the Russians. But it just seems so out of character for her. She arrested her daughter last season. She's definitely an ideologue, but she's not the type of person who would go through with the peace agreement knowing that the Russians were involved with the terrorists. And she's not the type of person who would withhold this info from Mrs. Hassan. She's not a consequentialist; she has demonstrated over the past 41 hours of the show that she doesn't believe that the ends justify the means, and now, all of a sudden, we're supposed to believe she just does a 180 because some slimeball ex-president that she despises convinced her?
-Why didn't she just ask to speak to Suvarov, or call him herself?
-BTW, she sure got to CTU in record time, huh? 5 minutes. Wouldn't it take at least 5 for her security to make preparations for the trip and get everything ready?

I don't like the direction things are going in either. This episode was okay, but I'm just not buying Chloe as CTU director or Taylor as turning on Jack. It just seems like too much of a stretch. I was a little disappointed with Logan, Guess I expected more.

missy, you have your own opinion. However, this season was to see Jack at a new angle. Every season ti this one Jack tries to fight for the greater good, and sees the people who are close to him being sacrificed. However, this season we see him having almost everything taken from him, and he doesn't want the person responsible to be going free without having justice sentencing them. Even if it's better for the greater good. Also @aaron, how do you now that Chloe didn't give JacK the gun? She could have put the gun in the box of things as he was exiting out. So she could be helping him.
