Wow, still nothing. Maybe they're waiting to announce it tonight DURING the show on a commercial break, or after the show in the promo?

Again, nothing yet today. The longer this goes on the better I think it is. I would think the best place to get the info would be the website Fox publishes the press releases on and I've been checking that constantly for the past few days. Still nothing.

Yes, this is all so very weird. Perhaps between the fans and the NBC buzz, they hesitated awhile and now they have a chance to see the ratings yet again.
Hope people are tuning in tonight.

I really don't think NBC is going to get 24. I heard this came up last time 24 was up for renewal. My guess is they are negotiating how to end the series and deciding how much longer to give the show, 1, 2 years. Otherwise I think they would have announced it by now. I think it's up to the writers to show that they've got material for another 1 or 2 seasons.

Hmmm. Well ratings only maintained last night, but it is not surprising since it takes a while to get people back when the eps get better and better like this....just depends on how long the buzz takes to circulate. One good thing, ratings wise, is that many other shows took a hit last night. House fell huge. So maintaining was a good thing this week.
As for NBC....I just can't even begin to figure that out. I am just glad it came into play, though, 'cause it may be another factor in why FOX is hesitating.
Never mind. I am rambling. Beats me.

Nothing again today. I lost track of which day we are in "24 Ending Watch," but the longer this goes on the better I think.

How does a re-run of Two and a Half Men beat 24??? I've never understood how that show does so well. I can't stand Charlie Sheen. I watched from the gym last night. There were about 4 others watching 24, but one of them switched during the commercial and never turned back. I did see several people watching 2 1/2 Men. |

So when you watch from the gym, you come home and see it again, right? Well I've been recording all the episodes on DVD so I can watch them in order later again. Sometimes on the second round things are better, without the waiting a week for the next episode. |

This is getting crazy, still nothing. I really think a 9th season is still an option. They must be still in negotiations. The problem is that it sounds like some of the others involved are moving on to other projects because they can't wait around on Fox to make up their mind. I still haven't seen an awful lot from some of the news channels about it and I've been checking the Fox press releases every day. I just think it would really suck if all the episodes are filmed and then Fox decides that's it. I still can't believe they waited this long to make the decision. These conversations should have been going on during the beginning of filming, not now. |
