It's probably for the best, but yeah, I'm sad too. I can't yet fathom what it'll be like to not actually have 24 to look forward to. That movie that they're going to make better blow us the F away!

IF it even happens. It is not for certain. And who will be in it? Chloe? Anyone we know and love other than Jack? I am not hopeful....

Fox still hasn't made a public statement so I'm not sure what to think. Although it doesn't sound good. I'd rather have another season than a movie.

Another day without a public statement. Kinda makes me suspicous. If it were true, what are they waiting for? Could they be negotiating another season to end it?

How much you wanna bet they announce it on Friday night, so they can kind of bury the news?

I don't know. They did screw PB over when they cancelled that show, but somehow I thought they'd give 24 more of a sendoff like they are doing with Lost. I keep hoping that it's because they are going to announce that season 9 is the last. I kept checking the Fox publicity site from work today to see if they updated it with an announcement.
One thing I find odd, is that none of the major entertainment news has picked up on this and said anything - E!, Entertainment Weekly, or Entertainment Tonight. All the sources reporting it are basing it all on speculation and none of them are all that reliable. Well, except Variety, but they said it was "speculation." There's no proof to anything to support that this is the last season. Just gossip.
I just don't see how they'd benefit from waiting until Friday to announce it.

Don't get your hopes up. Greg Itzin was recently quoted as saying that the reason they scrambled to bring him back was because it's the final season.

I agree!!! They treated Prison Break like utter shit too, disgracing them by moving them to Friday night and not advertising the final few episodes once... all after all the revenue PB got them over the prior 3 years. Aren't ya glad this isn't a Fox-owned message board?

Well, nothing again today. I think this is a good sign. I really believe that they might be negotiating for one more season to advertise it as the last season. Ok, maybe it's wishful thinking and I'm just trying to think positive, but it does appear to be a good sign that we haven't heard anything.
